Oil prices continue to rise after US attack on Iran’s Larak

TEHRAN, Aug. 31 (MNA) – Oil prices were trading more than two and a half percent higher ⁠after the US attacked Iran’s Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz.

Oil prices were trading more than two and a half percent higher ⁠after the US attacked Iran’s Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz, drawing retaliation from Tehran, as their conflict extended into its sixth month.

Brent crude futures climbed $2.21, or 2.51 percent, to $90.31 a barrel as of 04:36 ⁠GMT, while US West Texas Intermediate crude was at $85.23, up $1.83, or 2.19 percent, according to Al Jazeera.
